The whole society is like the patients in the late stage of AIDS. Due to the complete destruction of the immune system, they may catch any malignant disease at any time, even malignant disease that has never appeared before; anyway, any malignant disease can be perfectly displayed. The actual result of society is that whoever is more vicious will gain power, and whoever is viler will gain profits. The whole society is a kind of Adverse Selection. This is the fundamental reason why I often question the direction of the so-called democratic society in the United States after losing faith. Because I know the United States too well, I know the United States’ past and present, so I know what the result will be after losing faith. When the United States’ founding fathers drafted the constitution, based on the experience of the whole world at that time, they were mainly worried about the king’s dictatorship and military tyranny. Therefore, they tried their best to limit the president’s and the military’s power by measures such as restricting the president’s term. However, there were few restrictions on the members of Congress and the SCOTUS. Therefore, when American society loses faith, its lousy result is not the presidential dictatorship or military tyranny but the usurpation and even hegemony of power by lawmakers and justices. These lawmakers and judges take advantage of their unlimited term of office to form professional politicians like Pelosi, who have been engaged in politics for a long time and control the American political arena. Or, like Obama, the former president manipulates the US government behind the scenes by controlling the FBI and wielding his influence. Not to mention these politicians, other people are the same. In the previous American society with faith, journalists were called the king without a crown and the fourth right to supervise social justice. In order to encourage press freedom, society gave the press great power, especially the social platform, allowing them to delete posts and not assume responsibility for speech. However, after losing their faith, these news media and social platforms, such as CNN, CBS, fox, Twitter, Facebook, etc., instead exert their rights to suppress dissent and restrict the speech of most people. They arbitrarily delete the speech that does not conform to their views and do not allow such speech to appear on their platforms, forming new censorship and control. Before that, American society with faith sympathized with the unfortunate experience of black people becoming slaves and gave them many privileges and preferences. However, after losing faith, black people abused these privileges and preferences to override other races and maximize their own interests. Meanwhile, the labor class and trade unions also abused society’s goodwill and blindly pursued the workers’ high welfare and wages. As a result, American companies lost their competitiveness; they had to move abroad in large numbers setting up branches, which made the American industry hollow and ultimately hurt the United States itself. Even when ordinary people have power, they tend to be autocratic. We can see this tendency from the security guards’ attitude toward the strangers at the community entrance. Therefore, I think that to improve American society truly, we should not perfect the so-called system but revitalize the American faith, Christian faith, or other good beliefs. Otherwise, no matter how perfect the system is, no matter how many targets are supervised, all which you can imagine: such as the president, the speaker, the Supreme Court, the military, the police, major news organizations, a certain race, a specific profession, a particular class, and so on; it is still null and void to supervise power. Because the loss of faith in human society is equivalent to the loss of immunity of the human body, a total outbreak of viciousness in society will erupt. Many vicious phenomena that have not appeared before will occur and cannot be prevented. Most ordinary people who supervise these supervision objects are also greedy and degenerate and may abuse power, that is, majority tyranny. Eventually, society will inevitably collapse and cease. This is inevitable.
From here, we can also see the greatness of Aquinas, whom I highly admire. Aquinas realized in the 13th century that Aristotle’s six regimes of human beings, namely, monarchy and dictatorship, aristocracy and oligarchy, democracy and majority tyranny, are actually three regimes and their opposites, that is, monarchy, aristocracy, democracy, and their opposite, dictatorship, oligarchy, majority tyranny. It can be easily found that this can not be achieved in a secular society; Only the two most significant goals can let people downplay the concepts of honor, wealth, fame, and talent from the heart. One is the right to go to heaven after death; the other is we always have happiness filled with the Holy Spirit in real life. And the ideal society can only be realized in the church through faith and God’s inner work. Only through faith can humans realize their dreams. And faith is also the fundamental purpose of human existence. I don’t know the meaning of human existence if we lose faith. Therefore, it is not the social system that is the foundation of humans but faith. The process of Pursuing faith is also the process of perfecting the human social system and trying to go toward an ideal society. At this time, the faith and social system, the church, and the state are integrated. Only when the two kinds coexist and promote each other can a perfect society be achieved.

Absolute perfection cannot exist in this world, and it is impossible for us to establish an ideal system and live a perfect life.
